To Our CoBI Community, As was shared earlier this Fall, the Council on Brain Injury (CoBI) will be ending in early 2023. The main goal of the CoBI Board over the past few months has been to find a new home for its key program, ReDiscoverU. Fortunately, one of CoBI’s strongest partners, the Brain Injury Association of PA (BIAPA) was both interested and honored to ensure the legacy of this important program to the brain injury community. The ReDiscoverU Program assists individuals in learning new skills or rediscovering past interests through inclusive and diverse educational opportunities that enhance the health, well-being, and knowledge of those who participate in the classes. These virtual classes are offered year-round on Monday nights and are taught by qualified staff or community members. Effective January 1, 2023, ReDiscoverU will have a new home with the Brain Injury Association of PA. Classes will continue on Monday nights at 6 pm and a new zoom link will be provided soon, to ensure attendees have no problem with connecting in and participating in a variety of new sessions in the New Year. Both CoBI and BIAPA are excited about this transition and look forward to continuing to enhance this important forum. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. Sincerely, Joanne Finegan, MSA, CTRS, FDRT President |
